Never Ends

My auntie Kim loved dancing. She grew up round the Blitz club in Margate, always first to try a new hairstyle, always the cool sister my mum wanted to be like.

She backed our music from the very beginning. She left us before any of it took off, but she had put a bit of money aside for me, and that money is what made our first record. Without her we would never have got here.

Time doesn't stand still for anyone. The chapters, the people who come and go, the ones we miss, the jobs we hate, the drinks, the fights, the relationships that end and the new ones that blossom: it all gets curated into a playlist by some ineffable DJ up there, and called life.

All we can really do is keep dancing, because that keeps the people we lost here with us. And after we're gone, hopefully people will do the same for us. Because the disco never ends.
